Laser Engraving in Hebden Bridge & Todmorden
If you’re in Hebden Bridge, Todmorden or the villages in between, we’re just down the valley. Our workshop is in Sowerby Bridge, east along the A646 and the Calder Valley railway line, and we engrave and print personalised gifts and custom pieces to order.
Same valley, different end
Hebden Bridge is around six or seven miles up the valley from Sowerby Bridge, and Todmorden a few miles further west. Laser & Ink is a small, independent maker working from a workshop, not a shop, so there are no opening hours to plan around. You order online or ask for a quote, we make it, and it comes to you by Royal Mail. For custom orders, collection from Sowerby Bridge can be arranged if you’re passing on your way into Halifax.
Shop orders take 1–3 working days to make and usually arrive 2–3 working days after dispatch, for a flat £4.99 anywhere in the UK.
Ideal for independent shops, cafés and makers
The top end of the valley is full of independent cafés, bars, galleries and small businesses, and engraving suits that kind of place well. Ideas that work nicely:
- Engraved wooden coasters for café and bar tables, with your name or logo. Our mats are 95mm round and 7mm thick, with four rubber feet.
- Small wooden or slate signs, shelf labels and table numbers.
- Branded pieces for markets and events in small batch runs.
- Engraving your own items, such as a wooden box, chopping board or leather tag. Send us a photo first and we’ll tell you whether it’s suitable.
For any of these, ask for a custom engraving quote. If you make things yourself and want a custom engraved element, we’re happy to talk that through too.
Weddings and celebrations
The valley is a popular place to get married, and engraving makes lovely, practical wedding favours. Named coasters can double as place settings, and engraved pint glasses are a classic thank-you for the best man and ushers. For printed gifts, a personalised glass chopping board or photo slate makes a thoughtful present for the couple. See our wedding gifts and new home gifts.
How to order
For anything in the shop, choose your product, add your text and photo, and check the live preview before adding it to your basket. Our how to order guide walks you through it.
For custom work, send us your idea, quantity and deadline through the quote form or our contact page. We reply within 1–2 working days and send a digital proof before anything is engraved.
A quick note on materials: our 10W diode laser is great on wood, slate, leather, glass and coated metals, but it can’t engrave clear acrylic, or bare stainless steel without a marking spray.
Frequently asked questions
Can I collect from you on the way through the valley?
For custom and business orders, yes, by arrangement. We’ll agree a time in Sowerby Bridge when your order is ready. There’s no shop to drop into, so please don’t call round without arranging it first.
Do you make wedding favours?
Yes. Engraved coasters, place settings and glasses all work well. Let us know your numbers and wedding date when you ask for a quote, and we’ll confirm the turnaround.
Can you engrave something I already own?
Often. Wood, slate, leather, glass and coated metal usually work. Send us a photo and details of the item first. We can’t engrave clear acrylic or bare stainless steel.
