Engraved wood, printed hardboard or natural slate?

The three materials look and feel quite different, so it is worth picking the one that suits the room and the person.

Laser engraved wooden coasters and beer mats

Our wooden mats are 95mm round and 7mm thick, with four clear rubber feet underneath so they sit flat and don't slide. The photo engraved wooden coaster takes your picture plus a line of text above and below, curved or straight. Photos engrave in warm shades of brown rather than colour, and the grain of the wood means no two are quite the same.

The engraved wooden beer mat skips the photo in favour of a design: a foaming pint, hops and barley, crossed tankards, or a wine glass with grapes, together with your bar or family name and an "Est." year.

Printed photo coasters

If colour matters, the set of four photo coasters lets you upload a different photo for each one. They are 9cm square hardboard with a high-gloss, heat-resistant finish, ideal for a coffee table.

Personalised slate coasters

The photo slate coaster is a chunky square of natural rock slate with your photo printed into the matte face and a felt-protected base. Each piece of slate has its own rough edges and texture, which gives it a rustic, farmhouse feel.

Personalised beer mats for a home bar

A set of four matching mats with the bar's name is the finishing touch for a garden bar or a corner of the kitchen. Our set options repeat the same design on each mat, so they look like proper pub stock. Pair them with an engraved pint glass for a complete home bar gift.

Who they suit

Looking after your coasters

All of our coasters wipe clean with a damp cloth. The wooden mats are not dishwasher safe, so don't leave them soaking in water. A quick wipe and a dry is all they need.

What size are the engraved wooden coasters?

Will my photo be in colour on a wooden coaster?

No. Laser engraving burns the image into the wood, so photos come out in shades of brown. For a colour photo, choose our printed photo coasters or slate coaster.

Can each coaster in a set have a different photo?

Yes, on the printed set of four photo coasters you can upload a different photo for each one. The wooden and slate sets repeat the same design on every coaster.

Are personalised coasters dishwasher safe?

No. All of our coasters are wipe clean, and the wooden ones should never be left to soak.

What are the slate coasters like?

They are cut from natural rock slate with a matte printed face and a felt-protected base. Every slate has slightly different edges and texture.
